The NXL schedule for the North East Open has been released. I looked over the schedule and it seems that Avalanche is not playing this event.
Why? I have no idea why. Although, rumor has it that they owe the NXL lots of money and refuse to pay. And with this refusal of payment, Avalanche has decided to drop out of the NXL and on top of that, the NXL commisioner will not allow them to play Word Cup. There has been no offical statement relaesed by any of the Avalanche team members.
Registration deadline for the 2008 PSP North East Open is coming up. Monday, August 4, 2008 at 11:59pm EST to be exact. This event is expected to be sold out so hurry up and register before it’s too late.
As of July 28, 2008, the Pittsburgh All-Americans have decided to no longer play NPPL or any other form of 7-man paintball. By dropping their concentration from the 7-man format, they can focus more on playing X-ball. Prior to their decision of only playing X-ball, the All-Americans played in the NPPL, NXL, and the Millenium Series. Even though the All-Americans will not be playing 7-man, some of their players will be guesting for the rest of the season on other teams.
