Avalanche to Use Virtue Spire

Virtue is pleased to welcome Avalanche to its stable of top tier paintball teams using the Spire loader.

“I look forward to having the opportunity to work with such a great company like Virtue and using the Virtue Spire on my Vanguard Demon,” said Avalanche’s Brandon Mayo.

In 2013, Avalanche plans on fielding 3 teams, including the main team in the NPPL pro division.

“Avalanche is a name with a lot of history, so we are happy to see them using Virtue Spires. And just as importantly, it’s great to see a pro team investing in developing divisional talent at the same time,” said Chris Williams of Virtue Paintball.

Avalanche joins Russian Legion, Aftershock, Texas Storm, Seattle Thunder, Portland Uprising, Edmonton Impact, CP Raiders and top teams who are switching over to the Spire.

In August, 2012 Virtue Paintball unveiled the Spire. Its purpose was to deliver to the best players in the world a jam-proof feeding system, fast tool-less assembly, in an aggressive, light weight, compact design that holds more paint than its competitors. Today, more and more teams are upgrading to the Spire. Find out why by checking out the Virtue Spire at your local field or pro shop.

AFTERSHOCK & TEXAS STORM To Use Virtue Spires!

Aftershock Signs 2-yr Deal with Virtue to Use Spire

Virtue is proud to welcome Aftershock to its stable of pro paintball teams using the Spire loader. Virtue is giving away an old school* Mr. U Aftershock jersey to celebrate the new deal.

Aftershock owner Renick Miller said, “I’ve been around paintball since the beginning of the sport so you can imagine how many new products I’ve seen over the years. The Virtue Spire is the perfect storm of loaders. Easy to use, never jams, and completely disassembles in the same amount of time it takes to open the lid. I’m excited to see Aftershock using the new Virtue Spire this year.”

"Aftershock has a long history in professional paintball,” said Chris Williams of Virtue Paintball. “In fact, one of our original pro players was Pete “Mr. U” Utschig, so with this announcement of Aftershock using Spires we thought it would be the perfect time to win an Aftershock Mr U. jersey that we’ve held on to for years.”

Texas Storm to Use Virtue Spires

Texas Storm is another top team with a long history that will be using Spires over the next two years.

About their new Spires, Mark Johnson of Texas Storm said, "The switch to the Spire loader was a no brainier for TX Storm. We want the best quality products to help us win and the Spire offers the best out of a loader. You never get jams, it is easy to load, and FAST!"

"I admired Texas Storm all last year,” said Chris Williams of Virtue Paintball. “It didn’t matter what event I was at, it seemed they were always in contention on Sunday. By that same token, I feel pretty confident we’ll see Texas Storm rise to the top of the Challenger division in the PSP this year as well.”

Both Texas Storm and Aftershock join the Russian Legion, Impact, Thunder, Uprising, Dave Bains, and other high profile Spire signings.

* well, it’s not really “old school” but to all the “new school” crowd who never experienced “old school” it might as well be.

GPL Expanding League

In order to fill the gap the NPPL bankruptcy brings, the GPL is expanding it’s 7 man league across the US from just it’s northeast presence.

It will consist of regional events with a national final. These regional events will allow teams to qualify for the national GPL grand finale. This allows teams to play without spending large amounts of money on flights and hotels.

It’s still in it’s formulation phase, as it’s still looking for fields that would be interested in participating in it.

Here’s their press release:

GPL EXPANDS 7-Man ACROSS THE U.S.

First of all I am sorry to hear about the NPPL. I have played the NPPL for years and I have always enjoyed the events. But in the current economy this is the time for the industry and tournament series to evolve. With the high cost of airline flights, hotels, rental cars and not to mention taking off from work for several days the national events are currently too costly to attend. This goes for both players and vendors.

We have received an overwhelming amount of emails from teams all over the country asking us if we were going to pick up the NPPL gap and expand the GPL 7man events.

Our plan is take the current GPL 7man events which are currently in the northeast and expand the league throughout the country. Offering GPL 7man Regional events so the teams can play high quality events in their regional areas and that will make the events more expense friendly for them. Then teams that play the regional events can qualify for the GPL grand finale event which will be a National event.

We are currently in the process of finalizing the details of this new league as well as interviewing for possible regional locations for the GPL events. Any fields that are interested can contact the GPL office at 866-623-3996 or email brian [[[at}}} 357productions.com . For the players we encourage you to join our GPL mailing list so we can keep you up to date. You can do this by visiting our website at www.thegpl.com . We also welcome any and all ideas the players may have, so please feel free to go to the GPL forum located on pbNation.com .

I currently do not have all the answers, but I can assure you that we are working to make this new GPL 7man league become a reality for the players.
