The NPPL is having referee tryouts for NPPL Chicago on May 16, 2010 at CPX Sports Park. It will be from 8am – 4pm. Participants will have the opportunity to ref pro NPPL team, Chicago Legend.
The referee program will teach you the rules, positioning and communication. A test will be administered to those that wish to be certified. Call or email Valerie for ref application. Valerie@nppl.com.
Full certification is $80.00 to tryout is no charge.
Teams are welcome to go out and practice on the Chicago Open layout. Not only would you get to learn the field better but play with professional reffing.

This weekend, July 18 and 19, SC Village will have 2 USPL fields set up. The fields will be used for the pro ref training but USPL players may play on it for $10/player.
What: NPPL PRO Referee Training Course
When: Saturday and Sunday; July 18 – 19, 2009
Where: SC Village Paintball Park, 8900 McCarty Road, Chino, CA
Time: The course will run Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
PRO Referee Cost: No fee for referees already certified but wanting to ref in the USPL
USPL Player Cost: $10.00 fee per player payable at the field.
New Referee Cost: $50.00 certification fee per referee looking to get certified

PSP is offering a 1-day clinic to allow you to be a certified ref. The clinic will be held on Saturday, July 11th at HotShots Paintball Park in Loxahatchee, FL. The cost to attend is $60.00
The clinic includes:
- classroom training
- Topics to include, but not limited to: rules, positioning, safety, presentation, & attitude.
- Written test on PSP rules & in-game situations
- On field training
- Performance evaluation in key areas
- PSP rulebook, covering all formats
- Certificate of clinic completion
- Check-in begins at 8:00 AM, classroom training to begin at 8:30 AM, clinic ends at 6:00 PM (approximately)
